Meet Dr. Tobias
THE "FORMAL" BIO
Dr. Tobias Steinherr is a dentist and specialist for biological dentistry and ceramic implants.
After graduating from university in Munich, Germany in 2008, he attended a specialty training for oral surgery from 2010-2013.
His mentor and trainer, a sought-after international speaker in implantology, owned his own training center for implantology and periodontology. Therefore, continuing education was an integral part of Dr. Tobias’s career from early on, and he came into contact with American colleagues such as Dr. Pat Allen and Dr. Bob Winter.
Afterward, Dr. Tobias became a senior physician at a private German dental clinic, where he led the dental department with 7 dentists as the head doctor, and as the medical director of the clinic, he also oversaw the dental laboratory with 8 dental technicians.
During this time, he also earned a master’s degree in dental prosthetics and biomaterials.
He began to focus more on the topics of immediate implants and ceramic implants and completed a course at the Swiss Biohealth Clinic in Switzerland.
This training was a game changer for Dr. Tobias. He recognized the enormous potential of biological dentistry and the advantages of all-ceramic implants and decided to convert all his treatment concepts to strictly biological and metal-free procedures.
He decided to end his career in Germany and moved with his family to Switzerland to work as a dentist at the Swiss Biohealth Clinic in Kreuzlingen under Dr. Ulrich Volz, a pioneer in ceramic implants and inventor of Z-Systems and SDS, to learn biological dentistry and ceramic implants in their entirety.
At the training center of Swiss Dental Solutions (SDS), the world market leader for ceramic implants, he trained dentists from around the world on ceramic implants and the prosthetic care of ceramic implants, and gave lectures at numerous conferences.
In 2022, he joined a private practice for biological dentistry in Switzerland and continues to be active as a speaker worldwide, conducting courses in the USA and Costa Rica, among other places.
In 2024, he co-founded „Ceramic Mastermind“ with his colleague Dr. Rebekka Hueber to train colleagues around the world on the topics of ceramic implants and biological dentistry through a central online platform.
Dr. Tobias is married and loves traveling with his wife and their six children to various countries around the world.
MY VALUES
If I had to summarize my life so far in one word, then it could be to „strive“:
To strive to be a better dentists, a better teacher and mentor but first and foremost a better father for my wonderful kids and a better husband for my amazing wife.
Health and well-being play a crucial role in becoming the best version of oneself. The role we dentists play in this process continues to be vastly underestimated. Through our work, we hold a great responsibility for our patients‘ health. However, this also presents a significant opportunity and gift to make a lasting positive impact on our patients‘ lives!
When we become aware of this responsibility and consistently strive for the best, we make the world a better and healthier place every day!
